Dwight Thompson is the owner and director of Myact dance studio. He was born in Jamaica West Indies, where he began dancing in high school at age 13. He later migrated to New York city
where he studied dance at the famous Broadway Dance Center and Phil Black Dance Studios.
He later moved to Miami where he met his wife, Dulcilena at the "In Motion dance studio" . Dwight also gained a BA degree in dance education from the Florida International University.
PETAGAY LETREN
Petagay Latren is a multifaceted artist who teaches ballet and contemporary dance at Myact dance studio. She has choreographed for Miami Dade College, Barry
University, Florida Memorial University, FIU, and University Of Trinidad and Tobago. She received the Kristina Larson scholarship for choreographic research 2009. She has also choreographed for Untold stories, Let's Dance Together, and Dance et Tom-Tom. She holds a post graduate diploma from the University ofthe West Indies in Cultural Enterprise Management, a bachelors degree in English Literature from NYU, a Masters of Fine Arts in choreography
DAVIN THOMPSON
Davin Thompson has been dancing ever since he was 3 years old. He attended Perrine Elementary, Southwood middle, and Mays Conservatory Of The Arts in which he was in the dance magnet at all schools. Davin is a very sought after dance teacher in Miami and the Caribbean. He currently teaches hip-hop and contemporary dance at Myact dance studio and other dance studios in Miami. Herecently taught dance in the the islands of Jamaica in 2018, and Anguilla in 2017 and 2019.Davin is currently pursuing a degree in dance.
